Razor blade guard film coats the cutting blade of razor to protect the blade edge as well as to prevent skin from being cut.
The protective film is comb-like, exposing the cutting blade intermittently. Therefore, when the razor is moved at a right angle to the cutting blade, the exposed cutting blade can cut body hair. On the other hand, when the cutting blade is moved horizontally, the edge of the cutting blade, which is coated with the protective film as described above, never cuts the skin.
